Are You Ready?

To be successful in the KiaOraMai programme, you and your employee need to be ready – take a look at the employer and employee assessments to make sure you are ready.

Employer Assessment

You – the employer are a critical part of the KiaOraMai training programme.

You will:

• Guide your employee through your workplace requirements and guidelines
• Encourage and support their learning
• Verify that your employee consistently demonstrates the skills learned from the KiaOraMai workshops
• Need to allow your employees to take time off work to attend one off-job workshop  –the Service Centre will contact you after enrolment to work what day would be convenient for you
• Sign-off that your employee has demonstrated the KiaOraMai standard consistently for at least 200 hours after the workshop.

Employee Assessment

Employees will have to be ready to commit to:

• Completing workbooks and the activities prior to the workshop as well as at the workshop
• Attending one off-job workshop

The Employee’s knowledge and skills will be assessed throughout the programme. Some of the assessment will be completed in the workshop and some in the workplace. Each step of the assessment will be explained carefully to both employer and employee.
