With the Food Hawke's Bay Hospitality Awards hitting its third annual ceremony last night, KiaOraMai was proud to be principal sponsor of the ‘Outstanding Hospitality Personality’ award. Jane Libby General Manager Food Hawke's Bay Inc said the event was becoming a highlight of the social calendar. "I think it's something that people are starting to look forward to.”

David Edney, KiaOraMai Service Centre Manager, announced Tim Turvey Winemaker/Proprietor of Clearview Estate Winery as the KiaOraMai ‘Outstanding Hospitality Personality’ winner. The winners were announced in front of a near sell-out crowd of 300 industry staff at a ceremony in the Hawke's Bay Opera House.Over the last two months industry representatives, including everyone from baristas to sales representatives, have nominated and voted for who they think is the most deserving over 14 award categories."People like the fact that the people in the know are putting their stamp of approval on particular places to eat, drink and socialise," Ms Libby said - "We are delighted with the reaction."

Ms Libby said entries and numbers attending were on par with last year, and was happy with the response to the awards."Gaining recognition for those glamorous and some not so glamorous jobs in the industry makes it all worthwhile for these people," she said.

The winners should be congratulated on a job well done.
